Join Theta sisters—or support the Denver Thetas team—as we participate in the American Heart Association’s annual walk to promote cardiac health and research. Heart disease is the #1 cause of death for Americans, including women.
In lieu of an in-person walk this year, organizers are leaving it up to teams to walk in place, gather at will, or participate virtually. Our team will honor all three ways for you to get involved. Click here to join the Denver Thetas team no matter how you decide to participate. You can also make a donation to any team member or the team overall.
For sisters who want to meet in person, we will meet at 9:00am at the Washington Park Boat House (north side of the structure) and walk together, approximately 2.7 miles around the park. Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the walk. Heart-healthy snacks will be provided. If you ordered a Denver Thetas t-shirt, please plan to wear it... or you can wear any black top to match the rest of us. (If you didn’t order a shirt yet, a second order will be placed as long as you order by June 19.
RSVP via Evite to get additional information and day-of-event updates, and don’t forget to also register with the American Heart Association to become part of our team. There is no cost to register. You will have the opportunity to make a donation as you sign up, and you can set a personal fundraising goal too. Our team’s goal is to raise $1,870!
