Connecting Theta Alumnae in Denver and Beyond

If you’re a Theta in the Denver metro area, you’ve come to the right place! The Denver Alumnae Chapter helps you meet other local Thetas as well as stay connected with the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity.

Year-round programming, chapter communications, community service projects, and fundraisers help us learn, grow, and give back as sisters. We support four college chapters in Colorado, local CASA affiliates, the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, Denver Area Panhellenic, and other meaningful organizations.

There’s always a lot going on... and always something fun you can do with Theta friends. Check out our site to learn more.

  • Denver Alumnae Chapter Day of Service 2020 at Foot Bank of the Rockies

    Day of Service 2020

At Food Bank of the Rockies, our team of 7 Thetas sorted and helped package 7,900 pounds of non-perishable food items that will provide 6,400 meals to families in Colorado and Wyoming. If you ever wondered what difference one person can make, we learned that each of us, in one 3-hour shift, helped get 710 meals to members of our community!
  • Denver Alumnae Chapter Founders Day 2020

    Founders Day 2020

Nearly 200 Theta alumnae and collegians gathered at the Wellshire Event Center to celebrate our four Founders and Theta’s Sesquicentennial anniversary. After brunch, the group gathered on the golf course for this photo, taken via drone by Melanie Albano Brown, Beta Gamma/Colorado State.
  • Sip, Sense, and Sensibilities

At this virtual wine tasting discussion, wine connoisseur Jim McGowan taught us the finer ways to serve, sip, and enjoy different types of wines. We also learned that the Latin poet Horace, who lived in 8 BC, wrote that matching wine choice to guest and occasion makes the experience even more memorable . . . we couldn’t agree more!
  • South Metro Lunch Bunch

While still staying socially distant, the South Metro Lunch Bunch gathered in Shera Eddy’s backyard to enjoy a sunny day, a picnic lunch, and the companionship of Theta sisters. Behind the masks are (L-R) Leslie Franklin, Mary Ellen Fitzsimonds, Elizabeth Metz, Vivian Perry, Shera Eddy, and Martha Doughtie. Behind the camera (not pictured) is Jennifer Smoot.
Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, founded at Indiana Asbury College (now DePauw University) in Greencastle, Indiana, on January 27, 1870, is the first Greek-letter fraternity for women. “Kappa Alpha Theta,” “Theta,” and our coat of arms, badges, and logo are registered trademarks of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity.
